Looping animation
Looping animation
Picture
Looping animation is a challenging skill! Every once in a while, I take a stab at doing some animation loops to keep the skills sharp. I need to do the same wit ha rigged character as well.

This is what animation students do sometimes
Ridiculous ness
This is what happens when you're in class talking about cutting on action when scrubbing a movie clip back and forth. It's almost a guarantee that one of your students will take that little joke into and turn it into a .GIF! You can't stop an animator from their antics! You gotta nurture the eccentric! Denzel twerkin and smiling. There you go!

11 Seond club animation posted!
Dang it! Placed 51st. Almost made the top 50. I'm going to keep at it periodically to break that top 30, then top 10. Just to say I did. Really though, it's a great way of getting an idea of how your animation is received by people all over the world potentially. Helps you to get a better understanding of whether or not your idea or technique is communicating well.
Here it is in it's submitted state!

The end of the road
I'm determined to finish this 11 second club entry. Even if it doesn't rank high, I've learn some significant things. Finally starting to get a better sense for using held layers! Also some workflow stuff as well. Was down and out for a few days with a jacked wisdom tooth that still needs to be yanked in about a week, so I'm suffering right now so I can finish this.

11 Second club progress
Along with all the work I have to get done, I've decided to put myself through the pain of rejection once again! Nothing better than competition to drive the desire to get better. There are other rough poses, but since they are blue line, and I'm testing out my inking, capture workflow, I've only got the ink drawings that I've cleaned up thus far. I"m making a specific effort to finish and submit this.

March 11 Second Club
Ok, I'm about to put myself through some pain. I have a lot of work to do already, but I learned some important lessons in doing the first 11 second club, so If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. I've got an idea of what I want to do, so I'm going to plan this a better than I did the last one. If I'm smart about this I can get it done in a timely manner minus the pain. Here are some Ideas I'm throwing around.

Sketch Daily
Now that i've gotten into twitter real deep, there is always some sort of art topic, collaboration, art share thing. I love drawing, staying fresh with topics I otherwise wouldn't choose so it's a goo challenge for me.

Go Go Gadget
Another sketch daily post. Inspector Gadget was one of my favorite characters when I was a kid. Imagine for a second that Inspector Gadget went all HIPSTER on us. Say it ain't so inspector.
Dailysketch Fun
I can't resist these twitter challenges, art sharing deals. Dang it. The topic for this one was Tetsuo. If you don't know what that is google that. Watch the Movie, unless you're a kid, then get your parent's permission first. If you're a little sensitive to violence uhhhh. well... Look at this drawing HAHAH! Though I'd do a silly drawing point fun at a character more out of control that Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman!

New Children's Book.
I've commited myself to doing some Children's Books this year. The First one was a simple counting book that is in the proofing stage and when it's ready I'll be guerilla marketing it hoping it does well. I'm not waiting though, I've got a few books that I collaborated with my son on that I need to get done. I'm not looking ot finish them for career purposes although that would be a fringe benefit, I want my son to learn to finish what you start and give him motivation to continue to be creative. This is an image from one of the pages. I'll post a few here and there, but don't want to completely reveal the whole thing.
